A TED-style talk centered around how mass incarecration has impacted hueman experiences. Featuring: former death row inmate Ketu Oladuwa, Death Row Support Project Director Rachel Gross, former inmate of 21 years Shirley Cooper, and Community Activist Foundation One.

THE SCHEDULE

* 6:00Pm – 7:00pm Social Hour

  • Record your personal story with mass incarceration. How has it affected you life? Talk to the presenters prior to their presentations. Food will be served as well.

* 7:00pm – 7:10pm Event Introduction

  • DRS Introduction & Speakers Introductions.

* 7:10Pm – 7:20pm Ketu Oladuwa

  • After walking off Death Row with his huemanity, he explains how the experience saved his life.

* 7:20PM – 7:30pm Rachel Gross

  • Director of the Death Row Support Project talks about her faith that led to bringing Death Row inmates and community members together.

* 7:30Pm – 7:40pm Foundation One

  • With 30 years of research, Community Activist talks about his troubled youth and work to stop the cycle.

* 7:40pm – 7:50pm Shirley Cooper

  • Imprisoned for 21 years, she became a jail-house lawyer and continues her work since her recent release.

* 7:50Pm – 8:10pm Intermission

  • Break for drinks and food while panel is set up.

* 8:10Pm – 8:40pm Panel Discussion

  • Q&A and a panel discussion on the impact of mass incarceration.

* 8:40Pm – 9:00pm Mix & Mingle
